Ingredients

10 one-inch Slices French Bread

          (or 8 Slices Regular Bread)

3 Eggs

1/3 Cup Milk

1 Tbl Brown Sugar

1 tsp Vanilla

Pinch Salt

Optional Toppings

Fruit or Fruit Slices

Powdered Sugar

Chocolate or Coconut Shavings

Whipped Cream

Instructions

  1. Cut French Bread Loaf into one-inch slices. Cut at an angle to create elongated slices.

  2. In a medium bowl, whisk eggs, milk, brown sugar, vanilla, and salt together until combined.

  3. Lightly place both sides of each slice of bread into the Egg/Milk mixture. You warm the mixture to absorb but not make the slice soggy. Place on a baking sheet or plate to settle.

  4. Using a greased skillet or a griddle, place completed slices on the surface to cook.

  5. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side or until a golden-brown texture with dark spots begin to show. Flip bread and repeat the process.

  6. If you need to wait to serve, place completed French Toast slices on a baking pan and put in oven at 175-200 Degrees for warming.

  7. Serve with Maple Syrup (or your preference)

  8. Optional: Add toppings

Note: Serve with Eggs, Hash Browns, Sausage, or Bacon.
